The problem

What's wrong with Blenders Boolean Modifier?

Most of the time? Nothing ! But on curved mesh surfaces sometimes Boolean operations can leave distracting artifacts along the new edges, even when the shape itself is correct.

Frustrating, isn’t it? Plenty of tutorials teach edge-flow techniques, but these methods can be fiddly and time-consuming, often forcing you to compromise.

The solution

Clean Results in One Click

QOL Clean Slice Booleans offers a simple, one-click solution with CAD like results. Select the cutter first, then select the object you want to cut. Run QOL Clean Slice Booleans to get the clean result you expect.

How it keeps the shading clean

Before making the cut, the tool stores the normals that control how the original surfaces are shaded. It reapplies them afterward, so the Boolean’s new edges and topology do not distort the shading on those surfaces.

Built-in feature

QOL Slice

If you have QOL The full Collection, then you will find the bonus of an additional operator beyond the standard Difference, Union and Intersect.. SLICE !

If you've ever wanted to create invisible cuts in a mesh with curved surfaces, you'll know this is invaluable.

QOL The Full Collection

Clean Slice Booleans is included in the latest version of QOL The Full Collection. If you already own the collection, this update is (as always) free!

The collection also includes the QOL Edge Clean module, which helps clean up the extra vertices that Boolean operations can create—whether you use Blender’s own Boolean tools or QOL Clean Slice Booleans.

QOL The Full Collection includes a huge range of tools. Each one can be toggled on or off, so you can keep the tools you need without the clutter. After five years of development, the collection continues to grow, and updates remain free.
